I am also a ginger. Acctually “GINGER” has been my nickname since i was in 8th grade, im now a junior in highschool. i think its funny that they now accept it as racism. my friends and me found out about “national kicka ginger day last year” and thought it was hillarious. so we then proceded to spread it around my school (mainly because im the one and only ginger in my school) and see what happened…we put up posters, stuck fliers in the bathroom toilet paper dispensers and on the bathroom mirrors. in lockers, all sorts of stuff. whn November 20th came…i was kicked by my friends and some other kids in my school. but we all knew it was a joke. mainly because they all saw me posting the stuff in the halls and i even used my picture as an example of a ginger. so we did it just for something to do in school…now we have a new principal who hates everyone and anytime he gets onto me, all my friends yell “DONT HATE HIM BECAUSE HES GINGER!” and now were going to start posting stuff in the halls ow to see what he says

I’m ginger and no way is it racist … but it definately is prejudice. Racism is a form of prejudice though, it’s just there is a law to protect the people who suffer from racism because of the history.

I’m glad you have recognised it as racism, most people don’t. I’m not a redhead but I’m half Welsh and I think it’s part of the same prejudice. I’ve had to sit in a class of English people talking about killing Welsh people, and everyone just found it funny. It’s just as unacceptable as any kind of racism, so thank you for posting this.
Oh and I’m really enjoying Bashy.com!
